Reaper cast
How excited am I that Reaper is back! Personally, I think it was one of the best shows last year. Unfortunately, that usually means that it will be promptly cancelled. So how happy (diabolically so) was I to find out that they had renewed it? Extraordinarily happy.
In case you haven’t watched the show, the long and short of the story is that Sam’s (a-dork-able Bret Harrison) parents sold his soul to the Devil (a wickedly funny Ray Wise) and now he’s been conscripted to be a bounty hunter. Together with his slacker friends he attempts to send escaped souls back to Hell. All this while working a day job at a Home Depot-like store.
A show that is ballsy enough to not only have a loving gay couple (Michael Ian Black and Ken Marino) as supporting cast members, but to have them be renegade demons deserves some credit. The plot lines sometimes get ridiculous, but its great to see how the friends come together to fight evil, and to live their lives. All this while trying to juggle an undead father and a girlfriend.
I won’t say any more about it, other than to say check it out. It’s a fun show.
